Overview

Our attorneys represent developers and owners in a variety of commercial real estate financing transactions including construction loans and permanent loans with regional and national lenders, and mezzanine loans with private lending companies. We assist in the collection and review of due diligence materials and advise on zoning, permitting, environmental, title and corporate governance matters.

We prepare enforceability and zoning opinions in connection with loan transactions. With an understanding of each client’s business, we negotiate each transaction to promote our client’s goals.

Representative Matters

Represented the owner in the refinance of an office building leased to Fisher & Phillips, UNUM, and Key Bank in Portland, Maine.

Represented the owner in the financing of a shopping center leased to Petco, Kohl’s Carter’s, Dr. Dental, Title Boxing, and Work-N-Gear in Saugus, Massachusetts.

Represented the owner in the financing and leasing of a shopping center to Dollar Tree, China Pearl, Dunkin Donuts, Domino’s Pizza, and Kam Man Marketplace in Quincy, Massachusetts.

Represented a college in a construction financing for a new student dormitory in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Represented an early child education franchisee in the construction financing for the development of a franchise in Southern, Massachusetts.

Represented the owner in construction financing of a 70-unit apartment building in the Brighton area of Boston, Massachusetts.

Represented the owner in a refinance transaction for an estate property consisting of a compound with several homes in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

Represented the owner in the refinance of a mixed-use building consisting of 20 apartments and a retail space with historic tax credits in the Downtown Crossing area of Boston, Massachusetts.

Represented the owner in the refinance of a mixed-use building consisting of 25 apartments and a restaurant space in the South Boston area of Boston, Massachusetts.
